“I got involved with who the LaPorte County Court-Appointed
Special Advocate (CASA) as a student. That opened the
door to a career for me. I thank my PNC instructors
for giving me solid preparation for my career. I got
a solid background in the classroom and an opportunity
to do hands-on work in my field while I was still a
student.
“My sister Holly, who also graduated from PNC,
and I worked together while we were still students to
organize a drive to collect school supplies for deserving
Duneland elementary students. The response from both
the community and school officials was overwhelmingly
positive and we collected and distributed about $600
in school supplies.
“I was a member of the PNC Chancellor’s
Leadership Seminar which gave me a unique opportunity
to learn about leadership, meet our community leaders
and gain a new perspective on issues.
”PNC helped me fulfill my intentions to work
as a child advocate. I would like to continue on to
law school and eventually have a career in law, continuing
to work on behalf of children in need.”
