PNC Volunteers Eligible to Earn Disney Theme Park Passes

Westville – Purdue University North Central Center for Service Learning & Leadership and the United Way Regional Volunteer Center have joined the Disney “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program, so that volunteers for the PNC Martin Luther King, Jr. Day community improvement projects and the PNC Alternative Spring Break "Service Road Trip" will be eligible to earn a free pass into a Disney theme park for their effort.

The “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program allows PNC students, faculty, staff and community members volunteering for these PNC – led projects to earn a one-day, one-theme park ticket to the Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort, free. Disney's offer is intended to inspire volunteerism.

Individuals who volunteer with the PNC Martin Luther King, Jr. Day community improvement projects on Monday qualify for the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program,

The Alternative Spring Break "Service Road Trip" will be March 8 to 12. That week volunteer opportunities will be available at designated agencies throughout the area. Volunteers may choose to participate in one or more activity. Monday of that week will be spent helping out in Wheatfield; Tuesday in Valparaiso ; Wednesday in Michigan City ; Thursday in La Porte and Friday in Westville.

Those interested in earning the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” pass, should go to www.nwivolunteer.org to sign up for a PNC project. The PNC Martin Luther King, Jr. Day project is YMCA/Michiana Resources. The Alternative Spring Break "Service Road Trip" is titled Alternative Spring Break.

Then visit www.DisneyParks.com to sign up and search for opportunities by ZIP code. The ZIP code for Westville , Indiana is 46391. Volunteers must remember to register at the Disney Parks website in order to receive the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” voucher.

Once the volunteer assignment is completed, the Center for Service Learning & Leadership will verify the applicant's attendance and the applicant will be able to print a certificate online and redeem at a Disney Park .

If the volunteer is under 18 they must perform the volunteer opportunity with a parent or guardian and the parent or guardian will receive the pass. No one under age 6 qualifies for this promotion

One pass is issued per promotion, regardless of how many times the individual or family volunteers.

Applicants should be sure to read all terms and conditions on the Disney Parks website. This opportunity is offered while quantities last.
