PNC Limited-Term Lecturer And Author To Appear At Library
Westville – Purdue University North Central limited-term lecturer and author Lucrecia Guererro will appear at the Michigan City Library on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the library's Writing Out Loud program. The event is free and open to the public.
The Writing Out Loud series is in its 27 th year at the library. The series features contemporary authors talking about and reading from their work. It has featured more than 119 nationally known writers and poets, including Joyce Carol Oates, Gwendolyn Brooks, Haki Madhubuti, Jane Hamilton, Catherine Ryan Hyde, Andrew Greeley and Brad Meltze.
Guerrero is the author of the book, “Tree of Sighs,” the story of a young woman's journey to uncover her past as she straddles two cultures in the search for her own identity.
The Friends of the Library will host a reception following the program. A book signing will be sponsored by the Bookstore at the Lighthouse Place.
Guererro teaches creative writing courses at PNC.
