PNC Student to Present Research Paper at Conference
Westville – Purdue University North Central student Kayla Mrozinske, a Communication major from LaPorte, has been accepted to present a research paper at the 18th Annual Clement S. Stacy Undergraduate Research Conference at Purdue University Calumet on April 9 and 10.
Her paper, entitled Making Sense of Social Networks, concerns the changes in communication transmissions and networks as a result of new technologies. This is the second consecutive year that the PNC Department of Communication has sent a student to the conference.
This conference attracts students from a large number of upper Midwestern universities to present their research. The papers are then considered for e-publication in a "Research Conference Proceedings" that will be released in the summer of 2010.
The conference gives students a forum to present their research in front of an audience and it provides an opportunity to network with students and with faculty from colleges and universities located throughout the Midwest.
