PNC Circle K Club Sells Pink Hard Hats for Cancer Research

Westville – The Purdue University North Central Circle K Club is selling pink hard hats to raise money to be donated to assist the fight against cancer.

The hard hats may be purchased for $15. For each hat sold, Circle K will donate $5 to the Michiana Hematology Oncology, PC in Westville. In addition, another $4 will be deposited in the Circle K account to assist with its ongoing campus and community programs. The hard hats are made by Bullard, a manufacturer of high-quality personal protective equipment sold worldwide. Dullard has vowed to donate $1 per hard hat to the American Cancer Society. The hard hats feature a six-point suspension and exceed ANSI Z89.2003, Type 1, Class E requirements.

Area businesses, organizations, labor unions and community members are invited to purchase hard hats. Bulk orders are accepted. All orders must be prepaid by Oct. 24.

Hard hat orders may also be placed by visiting the Circle K table outside of Library-Student-Faculty Building, Room 144 on campus Monday Oct. 15 through Thursday Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PNC Circle K club is dedicated to helping others on campus and in the community. The chapter is sponsored by the La Porte and Valparaiso Kiwanis clubs. It is one of about 500 Circle K clubs in 17 countries.
