PNC Students Earn STEM Awards
Westville –The Purdue University North Central Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Awards Ceremony, sponsored by LS-AMP Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program recently presented a number of students with awards in recognition of their academic accomplishments.
Those students are:
Megan McGlothin, a Biology major, was honored for her recent acceptance to the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Ryan Crowder, Biology major, was honored for being accepted to the Physician's Assistant program at Harding University in Arkansas.
Dr. Sharron Jenkins, associate professor of Chemistry, received the Chair's Award for Grantsmanship.
Dr. Mitchel Alix, assistant professor of Biology, and Robin Scribalo, professor of Biology, were honored with the Chair's Award for Scholarship.
The students inducted into the Tri Beta Biological Honor Society are: Gideon Avornu, Chesterton; Dylan Caggiano, Wheatfield; Patty Campbell, Valparaiso; Youssef Choucair, Michigan City; Aaron Ciesielski, Portage; Taylor Coleman, Porter; Ryan Crowder, Valparaiso; Tamara East, Michigan City; Zachery Fisher, Whiting; Rachel Jones, LaPorte; Jenna Lowery, LaPorte; Megan McGlothin, Valparaiso; Jaclyn Naujokas, Michigan City; Jessica Orr, North Judson; Melody Palmer, Valparaiso; Deana Scheidt, Francesville; Jessica Snyder, Rolling Prairie; Jennifer Topolski, Wheeler; Jamie Young, Union Mills and Amjed Zidan, LaPorte.
