WESTVILLE Purdue University North Central mens
basketball team placed two players on the Chicagoland Collegiate
Athletic Conference (CCAC) All-Conference Team and a third
earned an honorable mention.
Senior forward Jim Tunis, a North Judson native and Westville
resident, and Adam Dobrzeniecki a freshman center from Dyer,
earned all-conference honors. Tyler Moore, freshman forward
from Knox, earned an honorable mention.
PNC mens basketball coach Grayling Gordon said that
these honors are the result of hard work on and off the court.
These student-athletes showed up for every practice
and every game and always gave their best effort. They are
very easy to coach, said Gordon. They show the
same commitment to their academics as they show to their athletics.
As a coach, I am very proud of their effort in the class and
on the court.
Tunis is the only PNC Panther basketball player who returned
to the team from last years squad and he served as a
role model for a team of freshmen and first-year players.
Tunis is on schedule to graduate in May.
We have the core of a very talented team. I anticipate
having another strong group of recruits join us after this
season who share the same level of commitment to academics
and athletics, so our future looks good, said Gordon.
Overall, Tunis was second in the CCAC regular season with
a scoring average of 19.6 points per game. Dobrzeniecki ranked
fourth with a 17.4 average and Moore, 13th with 11.8 points
per game average.
Tunis was fourth in the league in rebounds with an average
of 8.2 per game and Dobrzeniecki was fifth with 7.7 per game.
